Introduction
Hi, this is my first post and an introduction to why I decided to start this blog.
So, I recently moved into a big city and in the beginning it was terrible. By terrible I don't mean the experience, so far it's pretty good. But the feeling of being here alone was eating me up. All my friends and family are hundreds of kilometers away and I have so little of time to visit them due to the almost three hour drive home and schedule full with school stuff. Well my previous home. They can't visit me either, because hold behold they have their own lives as well. I just felt so lost and empty and that is practically why I began this blog, to write my emotions away. Now it doesn't feel as dreading, mostly thanks to my best friend, who was there for me the whole time. So thank you Florian, you're a great support an I appreciate you so much.
It's not really like I miss my family... I kind of do though, mostly my two little bellowed angels (my cats, that sadly had to stay with my family), but it was also urgently needed for me to move away and finally dedicate my life to something I always wanted, not something that someone else wanted and what was available. It's the change and the fact that I know no one here that gave me a sense of impending doom. I just have to get used to this new life of mine. I want to start to socialise more and meet new people, as I never really had the chance to do so in a tiny village like the one I used to live in. Quite the change, huh? I remember younger me swearing on her life that she'll NEVER live in a city. I'm sorry younger me, I broke the promise, but it was for better.
But for now let's stop with this yapp. You might be wondering "Why 'When the rain stops'?" easy, when I was thinking how to name this blog I was listening to my long time favourite song called "When the rain stops" by eaJ (he's a great artist and the backlash he's still receiving is too unnecessary, people should give him a break, it's been five years after all) that song has been with me since it's release, so for two years, and it has gone through quite the time with me and the lyrics are relatable as well, so I honoured this blog with this title. But the reason to title the blog like this is not entirely because of the song, it's also because my favourite weather is right when the rain stops, everything seems slow and 'reset' like everything was washed away with the rain, the air is fresh and the sun is slowly finding it's way back on the sky or is setting down to rest, depending on the time of the day, the birds are singing and everything just feels pleasant.
